Sometimes the administration process within a business can grow legs. Before your know it, you are bleeding paper, have several random spreadsheets and everyone doing the same job a different way, or worse, the "we do this way because this is how we do it", resulting in the administration sandwich without the bread.

With the why missing, the process becomes handed down like folklore, and you find yourself working with an outdated system no longer fit for purpose.
